SENCO services

We support schools with meeting the needs of children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) by providing them with access to a variety of SENCO services.

What SENCO services do we provide?

We provide the following SENCO services:

In addition to specific SENCO services, EHP provides and facilitates multi-agency working to support special educational needs and disabilities present within schools.

The SENCO has day-to-day responsibility for the operation of SEN policy and co-ordination of specific provision made to support individual pupils with SEN, including those who have EHC plans.

SEND code of practice (2015)

Who provides our SENCO services?

Our SENCO services are provided by experienced SENCOs, inclusion managers and specialist support workers. Our team take a person-centred approach and hold high expectations for all children and young people with SEND.

The Code of Practice envisages that the SENCO will provide leadership and professional guidance to colleagues and will work closely with staff, parents and carers, and other agencies. It challenges SENCOs to promote person-centred, inclusive, practice in which the interests and needs of pupils with SEN and/or disabilities are at the heart of everything that they do.
