Parents and carers

We work with parents and carers when our services have been commissioned by an education setting, organisation or health professional. We work directly with parents and carers through Adoption Support Fund services.

What services do we provide to parents and carers?

We provide adoption support fund services directly to parents and carers through our Adoption Team.

How do we work with parents and carers?

When working directly with parents and carers providing adoption support fund services we provide specialist assessments and interventions for your child or the family unit.

When working on behalf of an organisation, health professional or education setting we work with parents and carers to input specialist support for their children. This can be achieved through discussions, information sharing and supporting interventions.

How can parents and carers commission our services?

For parents and carers interested in commissioning our adoption services through the adoption support fund then please get in touch via emailing office@ehp.org.uk or call 0330 088 8408 to discuss how we can help.

Other services can be commissioned through education settings, organisations and health professionals. Please discuss this with the relevant individuals.

What are the benefits of using EHP?

The benefits of using EHP lie in the multidisciplinary nature of our specialist services which allows us to:

  • Provide comprehensive joined-up support
  • Improve outcomes
  • Maximise potential
  • Work with all areas of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)

Which children and young people do we work with?

We work with all children and young people aged 0-25 who may have additional education and/or health needs. We work with all areas and levels of need meaning that we have an open referral policy.

Where do our services take place?

Our services take place within education settings or an external location such as a clinic or a hydrotherapy pool. We work in the most appropriate environment for the input we are providing. There may be occasions when an observation or an intervention would be more appropriate in the home environment.

When would parents and carers require input from EHP?

Parents and carers would require direct input from EHP for adoption support services from our Adoption Team. Parents and carers would also require input from EHP within their child's school should they feel that their child requires specialist multidisciplinary input to support their needs.

We provide comprehensive support for all areas of SEND. To find out more please email office@ehp.org.uk or call 0330 088 8408.
