What services do we provide to correctional services?

We provide a broad range of specialist education and health services to correctional services. Our services can be categorised as follows:

Our SEMHS service is available within correctional services and facilities and can be used on an individual, group and systemic level.




How do we work with correctional services?

We work in partnership with correctional services in order to provide a flexible, needs led and comprehensive service. Our professionals also work with correctional services to provide bespoke onsite training as well as external CPD events which take place throughout the year.




How can correctional services commission our services?

A bespoke combination of specialist education and health services to fully support needs within a setting are available through a service level agreement. When commissioning our services through a service level agreement the effectiveness of our multidisciplinary, joined-up approach can be seen. Which young people do we work with?

We work with the young people, up to the age of 25, correctional services want us to work with. Our specialists provide services to address identified needs as well as services to identify education and health needs. Our services can also be commissioned on behalf of young people with Education, Health and Care (EHC) plans.




Where do our services take place?

Our services take place onsite in a place provided by the setting, which is usually similar to a classroom. Providing services onsite is our regular way of working as it facilitates a successful working partnership and integration of support.




When would correctional services require input from EHP?

Correctional services could require input from EHP for a variety of reasons. EHP's input may be requested as we provide:

  • A co-ordinated multidisciplinary approach
  • A needs-led service
  • Statutory, non-statutory and therapeutic services
  • Immediate access to specialists
  • Both education and health support

EHP's specialists work in partnership with each other and with correctional staff. We help young people maximise their potential and lead happy, healthy and fulfilled lives throughout education. Our integrated education and health services help to identify and address needs.
